BiOspace was founded within the Manchester Science Park from a partnership between Protein Technologies Limited and Manchester Science Partnership.
Ninety percent of biotech and med-tech companies experience failure within the first three years of launch due to the high financial burn rates in R&D, overheads and personnel costs. It has been estimated that biotech start-ups, including early stage companies, spend over 50% of their funding on capital equipment, supplies, and other operational expenses related to running a lab. At BiOspace we aim to help early-stage life science companies get their products to market by reducing the overall cost of R&D. We achieve this by providing competitive rates on lab and office space, and rental of specialised laboratory equipment.
BiOspace allows biotech companies in areas such as diagnostics, biomedical/chemical-analysis, medical devices and bio-pharmaceuticals, to rent bench space, use specialised equipment and benefit from technical support and training.
